Owner, Design & Project Management
Christian’s talent as a designer brings a unique aesthetic to The Backyard Farm Co, and his 20 + years experience in project management in landscape construction bring quality and professionalism to the team. His award-winning U.K. company was a leader in designing landscapes ranging from London townhouses to country estates and has worked alongside world-renown landscape architects and authors Kim Wilkie and Lady Mary Keen.
After leaving the UK in 2008 he began working for both educational non-profit organisations and for-profit farms around the world with the area of focus on ecological land-design and food production. Some of the projects included: designing the layout for the world-renowned Permaculture Research Institute in Australia, creating strategies for regenerative farming in the Dead Sea Valley drylands of Jordan and the design of a 40acre 'full-season' beyond organic production farm in Columbus, Ohio.
Christian's present focus and driving passion with TBYFC is the continued exploration and integration of high quality architecture, food production and ecological awareness in and around the home-environment; supporting families to look at their space in an exciting, creative and nutritious way.
